Awareness Programme
Raising cancer awareness is a crucial objective of Vasantha Memorial Trust. By educating people about the basics of cancer, it aims to promote early detection and prevention. Despite the challenge of convincing individuals and groups to prioritize cancer awareness, the Trust's perseverance has successfully broken through barriers. Its tailor-made awareness programmes have gained significant appeal among different groups, such as the Pudhuvasantham campaign teaching breast cancer to nearly 200,000 women. Another successful initiative is the Cancer Free Tomorrow campaign in schools, which has reached thousands of schoolchildren. Although the pandemic posed restrictions on its campaigns for two years, the Trust has resumed its awareness efforts and continues to spread knowledge for better health.
