Jatan Sansthan combats high school dropouts and low retention among underprivileged populations, viewing quality education as key to ending poverty. We run five comprehensive programs across the entire learning spectrum, supporting over 150,000 students.
Our programs include: Apna Jatan Kendras for community-based academic and life skills; CDP for foundational skills and STEM for ages 6–14; Nandghars for modernized Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE); Diganth for career awareness and mentorship for adolescents; and Pahla Kadam, which incorporates a gender component to break social norms from an early age. Our initiatives create a supportive, equitable learning ecosystem.

Jatan Sansthan addresses holistic development by integrating health and socio-economic empowerment, collaborating closely with the Government. Our goal is a Healthy Generation by targeting mothers, children, and adolescents.
We channel this effort through three programs: Healthy Generations provides check-ups, referrals, SAM/MAM identification, nutrition, and SRH services. Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) offers specialized support for mothers of Low Birth Weight (LBW) infants to improve survival. Uger promotes community wellness and hygiene.
We support over 125,000 women with maternal health, 175,000 children with nutrition and interventions, and 125,000 adolescents with SRH education, delivering essential care where it is needed most.

Jatan Sansthan tackles the "proxy participation" challenge in local governance, where elected women representatives (EWRs) are often prevented from active roles by gender stereotypes and systemic barriers. To ensure true decentralized democracy, our dedicated Panchayati Raj program strengthens women's participation. The comprehensive strategy builds confidence, knowledge, and agency through intensive awareness campaigns, systematic training on governance and roles, basic literacy, and direct support for completing candidature forms. This empowerment yields visible results: trained EWRs excel, ensuring equitable budget utilization across health, education, and livelihood. To date, Jatan Sansthan has strengthened over 10,000 women leaders and established 30 Jagruk Manch (Awareness Forums), each with 30-35 members, who serve as community champions for spreading awareness on schemes and civic knowledge.

Jatan Sansthan is deeply committed to tackling gender-based violence and dismantling the Pardah system in Rajasthan, addressing the critical issue of women's silence due to a lack of awareness about laws and rights. In collaboration with the Rajasthan Government, we implement robust support through two centers: the Mahila Suraksha Salah Kendra (MSSK), which offers vital awareness on laws and schemes, alongside direct counselling and conflict resolution; and the Parivaar Paramarsh Kendra, which provides professional family counselling and refers serious violence cases to the police. Complementing this legal aid is the Uger program, which empowers women in Menstrual Health and Hygiene Management (MHHM) and Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH). Uger provides comprehensive education and practical skills like pad stitching, promoting dignity, autonomy, and potential livelihoods. These integrated efforts have successfully solved over ten thousand cases and empower 115000 women.

Jatan Sansthan's Youth Development programs actively challenge the ingrained gender stereotype that prioritizes boys' education while girls face significantly higher dropout rates, often due to the burden of household chores. The overall dropout rate in Rajasthan was high at 13.5% (U-DISE 2023-24), underscoring this challenge. Since its inception, Jatan Sansthan has focused on engaging adolescents to foster positive masculinity and create equitable home environments. We conduct activities centered on life skills and gender sensitization to equip youth with tools to break the cycle of inequality.Core objective is to sensitize boys to actively participate in household chores, ensuring their sisters and mothers have an equal chance for education and participation outside the home. By promoting equal partnership, the program transforms social norms.Through these initiatives, Jatan Sansthan has already engaged and strengthened more than 85,000 adolescents, turning them into agents of change.

Jatan Sansthan directly addresses Child Marriage, a significant issue in Rajasthan, by empowering adolescents to become decisive agents against the practice. We run 15 Adolescent Resource Centres (ARCs), engaging over 500 boys and girls. The ARCs provide crucial education in life skills, digital literacy, and gender and rights empowerment. The core aim is to equip adolescents to firmly take the "No Child Marriage" decision for themselves and to initiate dialogue on the issue within their families and communities, thus influencing their surroundings and preventing both their own and others' child marriages.
