Women's Economic Empowerment Programme
The Women's Economic Empowerment Programme by ITC aims to provide opportunities for women, particularly those in extreme poverty without regular incomes or assets, to earn independent incomes and become decision-makers in their families and communities. Through training and financial support, women can engage in self-employment activities, start small businesses, or form self-help groups or micro-enterprises. Their increased earnings and savings contribute to better education, nutrition, and health for their children, thereby investing in the future of their communities. Moreover, the programme helps to foster confidence among women, contributing to the dismantling of gender inequalities and the promotion of a more equal society.

Health & Sanitation Programme
ITC's Health & Sanitation Programme focuses on raising awareness about the crucial connection between sanitation and health to encourage families to construct toilets. Tailored campaigns target various groups such as men, women, children, and community leaders for maximum effectiveness. Women's self-help groups, typically forming community groups, spearhead activities including identifying households in need, disseminating information, managing funds, overseeing construction, and monitoring usage. Families receive loans through these groups to build toilets, with a partial contribution required. This financial investment promotes a sense of ownership and ensures regular usage, contributing to improved sanitation and health outcomes within communities.
