Social Programmes
Kalyansree Mahila Samity (KMS) is dedicated to the welfare of women and children. It focuses on several key initiatives such as the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS), the Scheme for Adolescent Girls (SAG), and the Kanyashree Programme (KP), including their convergence programmes. The primary goals of these initiatives are to improve the nutritional and health status of children aged 0-6 years, support their psychological, physical, and social development, and reduce rates of mortality, morbidity, malnutrition, and school dropouts. KMS also aims to enhance policy coordination among various departments to promote child development and empower mothers through nutrition and health education. For adolescent girls, the organisation seeks to empower them, amplify their voices, ensure their rights are upheld, and address their needs and issues collaboratively, enabling them to access services from different governmental departments.
