The inception of the Community Resource Development and Research Centre (CRDRC) in 2015, started in the Paschim Medinipur region of West Bengal. Its Read more fundamental objective revolves around addressing the unmet requirements of underprivileged and marginalized populations. CRDRC actively engages community members, facilitates the establishment of resource hubs, provides comprehensive training, enhances capabilities, introduces innovative healthcare interventions, and forges partnerships with developmental collaborators to bring its vision to fruition. Through a sequence of gatherings, it has interacted with local stakeholders, including Panchayat representatives, district authorities, and influential figures within the community. These dialogues have sought counsel on procuring projects under various Government schemes, with a particular focus on uplifting underserved regions within the Paschim Medinipur district. Furthermore, the organisation has identified technical specialists who routinely access information relevant to potential project backing.

Blanket Distribution Programme
In collaboration with local villagers and the Panchayat, CRDRC extended support to individuals facing distress and financial hardship with compassion and care. During the winter of 2016, blankets and clothing were distributed to those in need within four villages of the Paschim Medinipur district. This initiative brought warmth and relief to the residents of these communities during the colder months.

Healcare & Sanitation Programme
In partnership with the National Institute of Cholera and Enteric Diseases (NICED), CRDRC facilitated three health and hygiene campaigns as part of NICED's initiative to commemorate the 'Nation-wide Sanitation and Cleanliness Campaign' in honour of Shri Jaya Prakash Narayan's birth anniversary. These campaigns aimed to promote health and hygiene practices. Information Education & Communication (IEC) materials pertaining to diarrhoea management at home and proper handwashing techniques were distributed during these events. Practical demonstrations illustrated the correct method of handwashing with soap and water, while children trained in handwashing extended their knowledge to others who arrived later at the event.
