Suprava has been working in last 23 years in Murshidabad District, West Bengal ,India. The 151km long border between Bangladesh and India has resulted Read more in Murshidabad being a hub of commercial sex activity. We work with the women in prostitution and their children with programs encompassing leadership development, empowerment and life skill education to stop next generation prostitution. We work closely with community at grassroots, Govt. and law enforcement agencies. Till date we have saved the life of 1200 Red light areas children and have made 1600 Women in prostitution (WIP) who are the strong supporters of child rights. Please extend your support to continue our programmes and we look to start livelihood programmes for our 50 rescued girls’ through survivor’s collectives.
Action
Suprava works with women in prostitution and their children, offering programs for leadership development, empowerment, and life skill education to prevent next-generation prostitution, while also collaborating with grassroots communities, government, and law enforcement agencies.

Suprava has saved the lives of 1,200 children from red light areas and empowered 1,600 women in prostitution to become strong supporters of child rights.

The vision is to develop credibility of women and children to meet socio-economic vulnerability, ensuring health, social, economic, and educational empowerment, while the mission is to facilitate effective participation of women and children in rural and urban areas to fight against vulnerability through education, information, advocacy, networking, and capacity building.
