The Federation of Madhya Pradesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FMPCCI) was founded in 1975 to support and promote trade, commerce, and industries wi Read morethin Madhya Pradesh, aiming to establish a prominent presence at the national and international levels. FMPCCI's inception was the result of the dedicated efforts of influential business leaders in the state, including individuals like Shri D.P. Mandeliya, Shri Ranjit Vithaldas, Shri Bhupendra Kumar Sethi, Shri Mulayam Chand Jain, and many others. This legacy continued under the leadership of the visionary business leader Late Shri Ramesh Chandra Agarwal, former Chairman of the Danik Bhaskar Group of India, who served as President from 2011 to 2017. FMPCCI operates as a registered society under the Madhya Pradesh Societies Registration Act of 1973, with its registered headquarters in Bhopal. FMPCCI holds the distinction of being the sole apex body representing trade, commerce, industry, and industrial associations in Madhya Pradesh. It boasts a direct membership base of 720 individual members and collaborates with approximately 70 member industrial associations, collectively totaling nearly 10,000 members.

Programs

  • Entrepreneurship development

    The youth of any nation represent its most valuable resource. To nurture their aspirations, the federation conducts Entrepreneurship Development Training Programs. These initiatives are designed to inspire young individuals to establish their own enterprises. Accomplished industrialists, who are members of the Federation, share their insights and experiences on the successful establishment of such enterprises with these young participants.
    Additionally, individual groups of individuals and well-regarded educational institutions have the opportunity to collaborate with the Federation for the organization of tailor-made training programs that align with their specific requirements.

  • Internship programmes

    These programs are designed for college students to provide them with exposure to the office or factory environment. Students are matched with the members based on their needs, allowing the students to gain practical, hands-on experience in an office or industry setting.

  • Policy advocacy

    The Federation serves as the primary Policy Advocacy Body in the state, providing consultative recommendations to the government across various policy aspects, grounded in evidence-based research and insights gathered from its members. Over time, the Federation has proposed significant modifications to crucial policies within various State Government departments, all with the aim of enhancing the "Ease of Doing Business" for the trade and industry sectors. One notable nationwide initiative focused on abolishing the "License Renewal System." In this regard, the Federation proposed that instead of recurring license renewals, government departments should implement a "Retention of License" policy.

  • Capacity building

    The federation conducts trainings and seminars on various topics such as:

    • Webinar on “Doing business in Thailand- Gateway to ASEAN”
    • Meeting with government of Malaysia-Invest Selangor, Selangor virtual investment Mission.
    • One to One interaction of second-Generation Entrepreneurs with Seniors Industrialists
    • Sensitization Workshop on “Smart energy efficiency & Conservation” & “New technology & Innovation” for MSME’s.
    • Workshop on Driving Access to Finance: Role of Credit & Score.
    • Seminar on Fly Ash “Green Ashcon”.
    • Workshop on Ethiopia’s Investment and Trade opportunities with Embassy of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.
