Empowering Communities Through Education
Saathi, after 15 years of livelihood-focused efforts, recognized the need for holistic intervention to create lasting change in Bastar. Understanding that addressing only economic aspects offered a short-term fix, Saathi introduced education-driven programs to empower communities. In 2004, the organization established a middle school at Kumharpara, rooted in Gandhi’s Nai Talim philosophy, integrating local culture, geography, and livelihood practices into the pedagogy. Saathi also works to strengthen the broader education system through initiatives in Early Childhood Education, Right to Education advocacy, and vocational training, fostering self-reliance and confidence in society.

Transforming Health and Nutrition
Saathi is dedicated to improving health and nutrition in the remote and challenging terrains of Bastar, often hindered by Left-Wing Extremist activities. The program focuses on enhancing access to preventive and curative healthcare services and combating malnutrition among women and children. Key initiatives include strengthening routine immunization, integrated neonatal and childhood illness management, promoting outpatient services, infant and young child feeding, and fostering behavior change towards better sanitation practices and dietary diversity. Saathi's efforts aim to uplift maternal health and overall healthcare standards in the region, addressing critical gaps in service delivery.
