Iimpact provides community-based learning to the girl child up to the age of 5 years. Its ultimate aim is to mainstream girls in the formal education Read more system. It focuses on increasing enrolment and making learning joyful through its learning centres. It works in 1500 villages across 11 states.

Impact

Iimpact has empowered over 1,00,000 girls, established over 1900 learning centres, over 73,500 girls enrolled, more than 9000 girls graduated from grade five, achieved an average attendance of 83%, learning levels increased from 90% to 95% year-on-year and the total number of teachers reached is 1966 conducting over 242 training sessions.

Programs

  • IIMPACT Learning Centres, Orissa

    Runs 20 Learning Centers in the tribal, hilly villages of Gajapati district and 50 learning centres in Kandhamal District. Provides education to about 1500 girls.

  • IIMPACT Learning Centres, West Bengal

    It runs 40 Learning Centres in 40 villages (Diamond Harbor Block, South 24 Parganas District, 60 centres in Murshidabad, 75 centres in Bankura and 75 centres in Purulia. The 24 Parganas district has the highest rates of female trafficking and forced marriages in the State. Thus, the Learning Centers help the girls to constructively work on their self-development and thereby, preventing them from getting trapped in unlawful situations.

    Provides education to the girls from tribal hamlets. Runs 50 learning centres in Rajghar, a place that has been affected due to constant unrest.

  • IIMPACT Learning Centres, Madhya Pradesh

    IIMPACT works in Sheopur District and Khargone. It runs about 95 learning centres in the Badoda Block of District Sheopur and 30 Learning Centres in Khargone District. It identifies non-school going girls and puts them on the track of learning through its Centres.
