SADHANA Institute for the intellectually challenged was established in 1996 with the prime objective to render social service for the intellectually c Read morehallenged with a residential facility. We started our institution with 2 students and the strength increased to 225 students at Nacharam, Hyderabad at Village Tekulasomaram, Valigonda, Mandal, Yadadri Bhuvangiriri District. We have 22 teachers who train the students. These students are taught daily living skills, basic communication, reading and writing skills, arithmetic skills, orientation and mobility and vocational skills, some of them have multiple disabilities of blind, epileptic and cerebral palsy. Apart from the special education services vocational training is also provided for adult intellectually students.

VISION:
The quality of every person with mental retardation is equal to other citizens in the country in that they will have independent living and community integrating to the maximum extent possible.

MISSION:
Through constant professional endeavors empowering the persons with
mental retardation to access the state of the art rehabilitation intervention by
qualified people viz., Educational Therapeutic, Vocational, Employment,
Leisure and Social Activities, Sports, Cultural Services and Full
Participation.

  • Sadhana’s Home for Senior Citizens

    Sadhana’s Home for Senior Citizens, provides a caring and supportive environment for elderly individuals whose children have migrated for education or careers. With the rising phenomenon of “empty nests” in India, Sadhana offers a safe and hygienic space for elderly residents, focusing on their well-being. Currently housing 25 senior citizens, the home provides a homely atmosphere combined with professional medical care, ensuring a dignified and comfortable life for its residents. The initiative aims to address the growing need for quality care and support for vulnerable senior citizens.

Theory of Change

At Sadhana Institute for mentally challenged individuals, we believe that every person deserves the opportunity to lead a fulfilling life, regardless of their mental abilities. Our theory of change is based on the following key assumptions:
1.Providing specialized education and support can improve the quality of life for mentally challenged individuals.
2.Mentally challenged individuals can learn and develop new skills with the right support and resources.
3.Enabling mentally challenged individuals to live independently and participate in their communities can increase their self-esteem and sense of belonging.
To achieve our mission, Sadhana operates on the following theory of change:

Started rural center for intellectually challenged at Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District in the year 1999 with permanent building
State Bank of India Donated school bus in the year 2000

H.P.CL. constructed kitchen cum dining hall at our Rural center Tekulasomaram Village Valigonda Manadal ,Yadadri Bhuvanagiri in the year 2002
In 2006 we have purchased the land from Government and YSR foundation helped us in purchasing the land
In 2007 State bank of Hyderabad donated school van
In 2007 Construction was started
In June 2009 Construction of ground and First floor Completed and we have shifted the school from Habsiguda to Nacharam
In 2012 We have constructed 2nd floor with the help of Genpact in the same year we have started the Home for senior Citizens and Elderly persons with Intellectual disability. Presently there are 25 people are living in the home
In 2013 state bank of India contributed 4KW Solar System,School van and Elevator
In 2017 India Government Mint Donated a school van under CSR
In 2021 24 KW solar power Plant installed by M.Suresh Reddy
In 2022 4000 Sft Canopy was Constructed by the Dr Reddy;s Foundation
