Parijat Academy, an NGO located on the outskirts, is committed to providing comprehensive education to children from socio-economically disadvantaged Read morebackgrounds. With two schools in operation, it offers either free or highly subsidized education from pre-primary to high school level for more than 350 students. The organisation's overarching goal is to empower underprivileged children to break the cycle of poverty through a well-rounded education. It aims to create a supportive environment where each child can realize their full potential. It strives to provide education that not only imparts life skills and vocational training but also helps children develop towards financial independence in adulthood. The Pamohi Village campus caters to students from nursery to grade 10 and provides housing for those from remote areas. In Garbhanga, another remote village, the academy runs a day school for students from lower primary to grade four. The academy's holistic approach goes beyond academics, focusing on fostering a love for learning, essential life skills, sports engagement, health and fitness, artistic appreciation, environmental awareness, and civic responsibility among students from disadvantaged communities in Assam.

High school students cultivate a love for nature through trekking, indulging in activities like birdwatching and rope climbing.
