JoyHome Orphanage in Kurnool provides a nurturing environment for orphaned and disadvantaged children. Established in 2012, the orphanage houses both girls and boys, currently caring for 25 girls and 35 boys across three floors. These children come from various backgrounds – some are orphans, others rescued from the streets, or they come from impoverished families. The orphanage offers them a loving and secure space, providing meals, education, clothing, and essential supplies. Dedicated staff members, including wardens, caretakers, and cooks, ensure their well-being. Computer training is also part of the curriculum, along with regular health check-ups. By offering education and support until the children find employment, the orphanage helps them transition into adulthood with a brighter future.

  • Old Age Home Programme

SERUDS Happy Old Age Home in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, offers a haven of dignity for abandoned and destitute elderly women. Established in 2012, this home provides a secure and nurturing environment where these elders can spend their later years with respect. Currently, hosting 30 residents out of the 90 it has sheltered over the years, the Old Age Home is entirely supported by donations from individuals and corporations that share a commitment to societal welfare. The facility features two bedrooms, a spacious hall, a sanitary kitchen, and three toilets, along with open spaces for recreation and daily prayers. The residents are provided with nutritious meals, clothing, blankets, toiletries, and essential personal items, while regular medical checkups ensure their well-being. Many of these women have faced poverty, widowhood, abandonment, and exploitation, making the home a vital refuge in their vulnerable circumstances.

  • Education Sponsoring Programme

SERUDS addresses the educational challenges faced by underprivileged children in India. Around 32 million youngsters have never attended school, while 47 million have dropped out of secondary education due to poverty and lack of resources. The organisation sponsors selected students' school and tuition fees, enabling them to access better education. With over 33 million child labourers missing out on education, SERUDS aims to break the cycle of poverty by providing these children with quality education through sponsorship. Your support can make a significant and lasting impact on these children's lives, offering them a brighter future.

  • Day Care Centre Programme

SERUDS operates daycare centres for underprivileged children, aiming to address their neglected food, education, and health needs. The organisation began this initiative in 2003, supporting 80 children aged 1 to 6 years from poor families, where both parents work as labourers. The daycare centres provide a safe environment, hot meals, snacks, and preschool education, while trained staff engage the children in recreational and learning activities. These centres play a vital role, especially since malnutrition affects a significant percentage of children in India. The COVID-19 pandemic has worsened hunger issues, disrupting services like the Integrated Child Development Scheme and school meals. SERUDS' daycare centres offer essential facilities, including clean toilets, nutritious meals, play items, educational materials, and regular medical checkups.

  • Mid Day Meal Programme for Destitute Elders

SERUDS addresses the critical issue of destitute elders in India through its Midday Meals for Destitute Elders Programme. With a staggering number of elders facing poverty, abuse, and neglect, the organisation recognizes the urgent need for intervention. Despite Government limitations, SERUDS steps in to provide meals for these vulnerable elders, with over 55 million going to bed hungry each night. As a leading NGO in this effort, SERUDS seeks support to expand the reach of its midday meals project, countering the growing crisis and offering much-needed assistance to this marginalized population.
