Boond’s innovation, a DC Micro-grid with a patented pre-paid metering technology, provides solar power to remote communities of UP and Rajasthan. This Read more technology enables families in areas with scarce energy to buy energy from the micro-grid based on their needs without any fixed fee, giving them the flexibility to purchase only the amount of energy they can afford. Boond powered more than 300 milk collection centers in rural villages of Unnao district, and created customized solutions to power quality control instruments, improving quality and efficiency, reducing cost and energy used, eradicating need of a middle-man, and sending the profit directly to the seller. Boond’s Light for Education Program works to provide uninterrupted and affordable lighting solutions to students who don’t have light to study in remote areas in Western India. Through its Hole in the Wall program, Boond provides solar powered computers for community use for kids in rural areas to give them the opportunity to improve their learning. The Digital Education Program aims at improving the quality of education provided in rural schools by offering a digital education program that runs on solar energy. Boond partnered with grass root organizations like KARMA healthcare & Aajeevika Bureau to improve quality healthcare services by providing uninterrupted energy access to rural healthcare centers.
