Palna is a home for orphans and abandoned children where they are provided with education, food, a place to stay, and healthcare. The home gives these Read more children an alternate family and a safe place to explore their creativity, learn sports, music, and art, and develop into moral and responsible citizens. Surman Palna is currently taking care of 34 infants and 94 children. Koshish is an initiative to aid women who are widows, who have been abandoned, or who have faced domestic violence, prostitution, sexual abuse, etc. These women are offered shelter and given a new family, as they become caretakers for the children of Palna. In addition, these women are educated in order to empower them and prevent any future abuse. Tapsya is an initiative that provides underprivileged children the chance to be educated. It offers financial support to be used for education and expenses such as food, clothes, healthcare, books, bags, and shelter. Through this initiative, Surman also raises awareness amongst parents in slums regarding the importance of education and healthcare. It also convinces parents to send their children, especially girls, to school, and teaches them about nutrition, family planning, hygiene, and preventing disease. In addition, Surman teaches the women how to cook nutritious food despite low-budgets. Additionally, Surman conducts educational camps for orphans. These camps also provide medical facilities, food, and clothes. This initiative is aimed at children who are abandoned, who beg, whose rights are violated, who rag-pick, who live on the streets, and who have faced child abuse, violence, or any other sort of exploitation. Surman's initiative for contributing towards the slums in Jaipur, Phulwari, provides clothing, education, and medical aid to children who live in these slums and are susceptible to disease. JEEVAN is a helpline that temporarily adopts children who need medical aid but whose parents can not afford it. Surman provides financial and medical help to such children with the help of a team of doctors who provide free or subsidized services. 40 children and adults have been given free medical assistance including any surgery if required. Through this project, Surman has also rehabilitated 300 kids back to their parents all over India. The Surman House is an upcoming project. The goal is to be a seven-floored building which acts as a home to 1200 children. The aim is that the house will have a Game Room, TV room, and swimming pool, and provide education, food, medical assistance, computer education, marshal art classes, dance classes, and painting workshops for free to the children.
