They aim to empower underprivileged children, youth, families and communities residing in the urban spaces of Delhi. The focus areas include education Read more, health-practices, youth employability and empowerment of girls. This is achieved through implementation of relevant education and health practices. For 6 days per week, remedial classes are provided to students enrolled in schools and bridge-courses are provided to drop-outs. They also provide livelihood programmes to the youth belonging to under-privileged communities with regards to computer education and spoken english. Further, they actively work towards developing extra-curricular talents amongst the students. Besides this, they extend guidance to the parents in order to make them an active instrument for child-development. Their schemes include Padho-Padhao programme, Livelihood programme, Health and Hygiene practices, Target Twenty 20, Super Meal programme and Artistic India. The Padho-Padhao programme engages senior students in imparting education to juniors with an aim to nurture ‘volunteerism’ and ‘teaching skills’ of students. Further, the Livelihood programme in collaboration with Teach India, aims to instruct spoken english, computer education and personality development to underprivileged youth to provide skills for employment opportunities. The beneficiaries of the Padho-Padhao programme are the students ranging between the age group of 6-18 years and 18-32 years for the Livelihood programme. Further, a 100 days curriculum prepared by The British Council is followed for spoken english initiative, alongside instructing a hands-on experience of MS Office under computer education initiative. Also, the Teach India programme is a CSR initiative in collaboration with The Times of India Group. The ultimate objective is to liberate disadvantaged children from all existing barriers and facilitate their way to a better life while focussing on education, employability, health, hygiene, holistic development of children and girl child and women empowerment.

2020-21, CEHRO INDIA has distributed total 9, 49, 350 meals to the daily wage labourers with the help of partners and individual donors. Zomato Feeding India supported 5,06,200 meals. • Teach for India supported 41,350 meals. • Individual donors supported 2,35,000 meals. • QVT Advisors Pvt Ltd supported 80,250 meals. • Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) supported 37,800 meals. • Responsenet Development Services supported 45,000 meals. • Innerwheel supported 3,750 meals. Provided 20 days ration to 7825 families of 4-5 members. Provided refreshments to 1,56,000 children. Provided 30 days ration to 315 children. 17 new students enrolled in school. 80 online workshops were conducted for children. Cooked meal for 1000 underprivileged children for 3 months. 35 Shared Birthday celebrated. Provided sanitary pads to 8000 ladies.

  • Padho Padhao

    Through The Padho-Padhao Initiative, it aims to narrow the knowledge gap among children, ensuring they meet age-appropriate learning milestones. It prioritizes literacy and numeracy, recognizing the significant challenges students face in these areas, particularly when compounded by socio-economic factors. The after-school classes in Hindi, English, and Mathematics are designed with a child-centric, activity-based approach, informed by thorough research conducted by the team. As a result, the students demonstrate rapid learning progress and are able to achieve grade-level proficiency within 2-3 years of support. This is evidenced by the positive outcomes observed in students who have benefited from The Padho-Padhao Initiative by the end of their second year of participation.

  • Early Childhood Program

    The Early Childhood Program focuses on educating children aged 4-6 years, preparing them for school enrollment. Through this initiative, it engages younger children in learning through play, utilizing proprietary Teaching Learning Method (TLM) materials. The curriculum is tailored to the age group, emphasizing activity-based learning such as reciting poems, phonics instruction, and developing motor skills. The primary objective is to instil a habit of attending school in every child and familiarize them with the school environment, thereby building confidence in those who have not yet entered formal schooling.

  • Community Library Project

    The Community Library Project aims to provide top-quality resources to an underserved community, specifically targeting children and youth. Central to this approach is the involvement of community members as active participants, allowing them to shape the use, resources, and operation rules of the library. It collaborates with educators, authors, volunteers, and speakers to engage with community members, offering regular interactions and occasional events. Through access to these resources and interactions, the Community Library Project fosters leadership development among its students, empowering them to utilize their acquired knowledge and skills gained from exploring the library's resources.

  • Saksham

    State

    The goal is to assist youth in acquiring the necessary skills to secure job opportunities through short-term courses. Saksham primarily benefits youths who have completed their 12th or 10th grade but were unable to continue their studies. Additionally, it supports employed youths seeking to enhance their skills for better earning prospects. Through partnerships with agencies offering short-term courses and workshops focused on skill development and placements, it provides access to various opportunities, including career counseling, basic computer training, and Teach India, a CSR initiative by the Times of India Group, among others.

  • Sui dhaaga

    State

    The primary objective of this initiative is to provide training to 500 women in tailoring techniques, enhancing their skills and performance in this field. Upon completion of the training, participants will receive sewing machines, enabling them to sew clothes and generate income for themselves and their families. This empowerment initiative aims to promote self-reliance among women, allowing them to sustain their livelihoods and meet their daily needs through their own efforts.
