Yatn works towards the aim of a self-sufficient and self-reliant India. Its initiatives include ' Saving Sight' which provides for eye treatment and c Read moreare in remote villages while treating conditions such as age-related muscular degeneration, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy and perform cataract surgeries. 'Adopt a Child' is another initiative which involves sponsoring a child which in turn provides for his food, shelter, education (school fee, clothes and books) and healthcare. Further the society also has initiatives for education in rural areas which include promoting rural literacy by providing for libraries, scholarships, educational materials, science kits, equipment and playgrounds. Additionally, its socio-economic development initiatives include supporting aanganwadis with education kits, promote gender equality, justice and elimination of discrimination against women in all walks of life. Also, the society works towards effective implementation of water, sanitation and hygiene projects. The society also reports, rescues and rehabilitates child labour.
