About

Feeding India works towards improving the health of marginalised communities and eradicating the problem of hunger. It aims to achieve its objectives Read morethrough its various feeding programmes. Besides its Poshan to Paathshala and Emergency relief programmes, it runs its initiative 'Magic Wheels' which involves running a vehicle that collects and redistributes large food quantities of excess nutritious food, especially from functions, cafeterias, events, etc. and serves meals to target beneficiaries while maintaining the proper quality of the food. With its Hunger Hero Programme, the organisation runs the largest youth run network towards solving hunger and issues related to food waste. More than 8500 volunteers also called Hunger Heroes collect and donate food in 65 cities and have served more than 14 million meals to people in need. Apart from conducting food donations, Hunger Heroes also take up the task of spreading awareness and bringing on-ground change in the community.

Programs

  • Daily Feeding Programme

    To address the widespread issues of improper nutrition, child mortality and poor maternal health Feeding India runs the 'Poshan to Paathshala' initiative, which ensures that vulnerable children from the unprivileged section of society get access to a proper education during their childhood.

    The programme helps provide children with nutritious meals during their school hours as an incentive to come to school and continue their education.

  • Emergency Relief Programme

    Feeding India’s Emergency Relief Programme provides food along with other necessary relief material to disaster-hit areas and victims. Each food relief packet contain rice, pulses, ingredients, vitamins and can serve an entire family of four.

    It has played a humanitarian part in getting essentials and in some cases cooked food delivered to the affected in many disaster situations and also helps to feed stray and street animals.
