Bunyaad Foundation works for the upliftment of marginalised communities with a special focus on women and youth. The organisation undertakes its initi Read moreatives in the areas of livelihood development, capacity building and education. In the area of livelihood development, the organisation has introduced the initiative 'Hunar' in collaboration with Sambbhava Foundation which aims to empower women through skill development. It works towards providing ample guidance to women, encourages empowerment and entrepreneurship, dismantles gender difference at work place and works to provide employment opportunities to women in male-dominated sectors. Further, the Foundation undertakes the National Digital Literacy Mission Scheme which aims to impart IT training to 52.5 lakh persons which is also inclusive of anganwadi and asha workers to enable them to effectively participate in the democratic and developmental process while enhancing their livelihood. In the area of capacity building, the Foundation undertakes community engagement, gender integration and supports grass-root level organisations to develop project management strategies. It also provides tools that include mobile and web-based applications to effectively plan, monitor, evaluate and document the outcomes of their interventions in both quantitative and qualitative manner. In the area of education, the Foundation plans to set up its own schools and pre-schools for children belonging to marginalised communities based in rural India.
