Ripples of Change Foundation (ROCF)

Our program successfully built self-reliant communities by leveraging technology to enhance productivity and market access for rural women SHGs. We facilitated online marketing to enable SHGs to effectively promote their products and provided training and resources in digital literacy, financial management, product development, and operations. Key interventions included capacity building on data collection, onboarding, payment processing, and the establishment of fulfillment centers, which increased income and employment opportunities year-round.

Our project has been empowering rural women economically through agriculture and natural resource management. We are providing ongoing training in sustainable farming practices, including soil fertility, health, nutrition, multi-cropping, and reducing external inputs. The program emphasizes capacity building with hands-on training in sustainable farming, herbal product creation, and small enterprise setup and management. This approach equips women to produce and add value to herbal items and explore small business opportunities, continually enhancing their economic independence.

Our ongoing program, "Voice That Cares," launched in 2021, aims to build a mentally resilient nation by addressing the growing mental health needs exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. We have established a Mental Health Helpline and developed the necessary infrastructure and technology. The program includes volunteer identification, training, and certification in counseling, as well as providing online Psycho-Social and Psychological First Aid services. We also escalate cases to psychologists, conduct community needs assessments, raise mental health awareness, and ensure continuous monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.

Our project engaged college youth in environmental protection, resulting in a direct impact on their behaviors and attitudes, and potentially influencing their parents, relatives, families, and surroundings. The awareness campaign was a strategic effort to unite youth, foster strong environmental consciousness, and encourage them to take a leading role in long-term sustainability plans for conserving the Earth. We have seen significant progress and aim to continue these efforts in the future to strengthen environmental stewardship among the younger generation.

Our ongoing project in Karnataka, "Climate Resilient Schools aiming at a Climate Smart Generation," is dedicated to creating a climate-conscious youth. We are developing a Climate Change Curriculum, training teachers, and conducting awareness sessions for students. The initiative also includes setting up weather stations, sharing educational podcasts with parents and students, and organizing exposure tours such as toxic tours, sustainable models tours, and ecology tours. These comprehensive efforts aim to deepen climate understanding and encourage proactive environmental stewardship among the youth.

Our Finishing Schools program, "Empowering Youth: Skilling and Resilience for Endless Possibilities," has provided training in sector-specific skills and essential soft and employability skills to identified youth. This initiative aimed to promote sustained, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth, as well as full and productive employment. Additionally, we focused on building mental resilience among participants. With the positive outcomes achieved, we are committed to continuing these efforts to further enhance youth skills and resilience for long-term success.

We are committed to providing humanitarian aid during times of disaster, as exemplified by our COVID-19 response. Our program includes infrastructure support to hospitals, distribution of essential food supplies, provision of masks, and awareness campaigns on vaccination, safety, and hygiene. We also offer mental health support to victims and their families, ensuring effective response and relief to communities affected by disasters.
