Programs

  • Education Programmes

    PES's Academic Adoption Programme (AAP) strives to disrupt the cycle of disadvantage. AAP aims to uplift underprivileged children by granting them access to top-tier education through academic sponsorships. This comprehensive initiative goes beyond academics, encompassing healthcare and counselling for holistic child development. Moreover, AAP seamlessly integrates with PES's broader efforts in financial literacy, vocational training, and livelihood development. it collaborates with local schools to enroll children in suitable grades, ensuring close monitoring of attendance, performance, and health. A dedicated fund is established to support the child's higher education, fostering a transformative commitment to education within ultra-poor families, yielding impressive academic outcomes.

  • Senior Citizen Care Programme

    PES extends support to approximately 100 senior citizens across two Old Age Homes in Nellore, SPSR Nellore District, with assistance from the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India. Additionally, it operates four Day Care Centers, focusing on the overall well-being of adults by offering meals, activities, and supervision with a medical care approach. It also provides Respite Care services for the elderly, addressing the challenges faced by other care facilities. It conducts nationwide workshops, empowering seniors with legal and financial knowledge, while its Physio Care programme delivers treatments for mobility issues in the elderly population.

  • Family Counselling Centre

    With support from the Central Social Welfare Board in New Delhi, PES operates a Family Counseling Centre that offers counselling, referral, and rehabilitation services to women who find themselves in morally challenging situations within their families or the broader society. This assistance extends to individuals affected by disputes, marital conflicts, or difficulties in adapting to their circumstances, and it is provided without any cost to those seeking help.

  • Skill and Entrepreneurship Development Programme

    PES has conducted diverse skill development initiatives, encompassing communication skills, computer training, tailoring, and arts and crafts, benefiting 1,200 individuals, and equipping them with valuable skills to secure income for their families. Moreover, PES provided free coaching to 500 minority community students, enhancing their preparation for competitive exams and improving their prospects in Government and private job sectors. The organisation also contributed to the retail sector's growth by training 400 candidates in Nellore District. Additionally, it emphasized General Duty Assistant (GDA) training, focusing on patient care, safety, and collaboration within healthcare settings.

  • Child Care Programme

    The expanding job opportunities for women and the shift towards nuclear families have led to an increasing number of women joining the workforce. In this context, there's a growing demand for reliable childcare services to support working mothers and economically disadvantaged women who juggle multiple responsibilities. PES operates three daycare centres in areas with a significant population of daily wage labourers. These centres provide a safe haven for children while their mothers are at work, catering to the needs of both working mothers and low-income families.

  • Women Empowerment Programme

    PES actively conducts quarterly programs, including Awareness Generation Camps, Legal Awareness Camps, and Leadership Training for women. One notable initiative is the "NAI ROSHNI Leadership Development of Minority Women," which empowers women from minority communities to assume leadership roles, assert their rights, and access Government resources for personal and community development. It has established a Sewing Training Center, enabling women to gain self-sufficiency through tailoring skills, embroidery, and design training, benefitting 300 trainees who also received sewing machines through MEPMA, and AP support.
