Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)
The Third Planet Foundation is dedicated to creating and executing cutting-edge solutions in the areas of water, sanitation, and hygiene. We support the idea that community acceptance, involvement, and ownership are necessary for the change to be sustained.
Safe waste disposal, installing toilets in homes, communities, and schools, promoting the best hygiene and sanitation practices, raising awareness, modifying behavior, and disseminating IECs are some of the initiatives we're working on. We prioritize water conservation, rainwater harvesting, and access to safe drinking water through community water ATMs and school RO units, among other initiatives, in accordance with the criteria set forth by the Ministry of Jal Shakti.
-
Rural and Slum Area Development
The main goal of development programs for slum and rural areas is to improve the communities and work holistically for the welfare of the poor. Because of the varying demography in rural and slum areas, different development approaches are used; yet, all community segments are served by the interventions.
-
Promoting Education
The Third Planet Foundation is working hard to develop and execute cutting-edge, technologically-focused quality education programs for children who are denied access to and a right to an education.
We emphasize a child's holistic development by providing theory- and activity-based learning to advance knowledge and abilities. Good and kid-friendly educational infrastructure and facilities, STEM and digital learning, teacher training (ToT), bridge education and remediation sessions, sports for development, access to clean water and safe drinking, waste management, school management committees (SMCs), counselling sessions, encouraging extracurricular activities, career path counselling and exposure, soft skills, and personality development are some of the interventions we provide.
