Nature's Buddy, a youth-led NGO, aims to stimulate socio-economic and environmental changes in Uttarakhand. Established in 2020, it originated from a Read morededicated team of nature and wildlife enthusiasts formed in 2018. The organisation carries out impactful initiatives like "Right of Passage," which secures elephant pathways in Rajaji National Park to ensure safe transit for Asian elephants. Additionally, "Swacch Mero Pahaad" conducts regular cleanliness campaigns in the Himalayan region, in partnership with Break Free from Plastic to combat plastic pollution. "Project Vriksha" concentrates on regenerating Uttarakhand's greenery by planting native tree species saplings during the monsoon and ensuring their sustained growth through continuous monitoring. The young people of the mountains are committed to conserving the environment, protecting wildlife, and promoting socio-economic progress in Uttarakhand's Himalayan area. Its goal is to effect positive change through education, research, advocacy, and action programmes, inspiring a collective effort towards environmental protection and sustainable development.

Swaach Mero Pahad Campaign
The "Swaach Mero Pahad" campaign, led by Nature's Buddy, focused on cleaning and preserving biodiversity. The initiative successfully gathered various types of waste, including polythene bags, plastic wrappers, bottles, immersed idols, and alcohol bottles. Residents, along with government officials, actively participated in the river cleaning drive. Pawan Bisht, a Reniwala village local, highlighted that due to insufficient dustbins and awareness, people have been disposing of waste in the river. As water levels receded, garbage resurfaced, causing environmental issues and detracting from the area's beauty.

The aim was to raise awareness among students about the importance of protecting elephants in the Motichur-Barkote at Rishikesh elephant corridor.
