The organisation is dedicated to offering holistic rehabilitation support, focusing on enhancing physical, mental, emotional, financial, and social capabilities. It ensures accessibility through infrastructure that includes schools, rehabilitation centres, and training facilities, ensuring the efficient provision of ongoing rehabilitation services. Its mission covers medical check-ups, corrective surgeries, physiotherapy, academic education, vocational training, and hostel accommodations for registered individuals with disabilities. Emphasizing education, healthcare, and empowerment, its efforts specifically target women, children, the economically disadvantaged, and rural communities, irrespective of geographical limitations. Over 37 years, the organisation has assisted 33,334 individuals through diverse aid programmes, promoting not only physical well-being but also bolstering employment opportunities and holistic development. The development of infrastructure, such as rehabilitation centres and training units, plays a pivotal role in nurturing confidence and morale, transforming individuals with disabilities into valuable contributors to society.

Gharonda Hostel Cum Rehab Centre Programme
Established in 1996 with a capital investment of Rs. 135.14 Lacs, Gharonda Hostel-cum-Rehab Centre in Shanti Nagar, Uchgaon, Kolhapur accommodates 110 male and female students, vocational trainees, and staff members. The facility, designed to be entirely barrier-free, caters to individuals with physical challenges, enabling smooth mobility. Inmates receive training in diverse skills such as cooking, computer operations, tailoring, embroidery, and more. The facility boasts a well-equipped physiotherapy room where a qualified physiotherapist conducts on-site sessions for the residents.

Samarth Vidya Mandir Programme
Samarth Vidyamandir (K.G. to 8thstd.) was established in June 2001, while Samarth Vidyalay (9th and 10thstd.) was founded in June 2012, both located at Shantinagar, Unchgaon (East), Kolhapur. These schools, established by HoH, aim to provide a barrier-free learning environment and instill confidence in physically challenged students. Following the concept of integrated co-ed education, they cater to students with various challenges and able-bodied individuals. Currently, 422 students from economically disadvantaged rural areas attend classes I to X. The schools offer hostel facilities, free education, and related amenities for disabled students, while able-bodied students receive these services at a nominal cost. Special accommodations, such as designated toilets and restrooms, and accessibility features like ramps, are in place for students with disabilities.

Vocational Training Programme
Enabling both men and women to acquire skills for dignified livelihood is crucial. Girls receive vocational training in cooking, tailoring, and embroidery, while boys and girls undergo training in cashew processing and hostel management. At the vocational training centre in Kadamwadi, Kolhapur, physically challenged men craft tricycles, callipers, crutches, portable commodes, as well as school and office furniture. Recognized by the Government of Maharashtra, the centre supplies aids and appliances to physically challenged state Government employees. The furniture produced by these skilled individuals furnishes not only its schools and hostels but also schools in Karnataka and Goa. Additionally, customized chairs and multipurpose wheelchairs are crafted for Zilla Parishad Schools in Kolhapur.

Swapna Nagari Hostel Cum Rehabilitation Centre Programme
The programme, established in April 2001 as the Swapna Nagari Hostel-cum-Rehabilitation Centre, operates under the HandiHelp Welfare Foundation. Through this initiative, comprehensive rehabilitation services are offered to individuals with disabilities. It includes vocational training in various fields like cashew processing, farming, and plantation. Spanning across 12 acres of donated land, it has become a significant hub for vocational training and employment for persons with disabilities. Currently, with a team of 99 individuals, including 77 with physical challenges, the programme accommodates 44 vocational trainees and staff in hostel dormitories, 17 in staff quarters, and 11 commuting from nearby areas. These individuals receive lodging, boarding, medical assistance, equipment, stipends, and salaries, fostering a supportive environment for their holistic development and empowerment.
