The Soonabai Pirojsha Godrej Foundation oversees the conservation and preservation of the largest privately managed belt of mangroves in Mumbai. Generates awareness through activities for communities, schools, colleges, corporates, citizen groups such as plant diversity, wildlife (insects, birds, etc.) photography, interactive and educational games, participatory plantations. The Foundation has conserved over 1,750 acres of mangrove forests in Mumbai since 1985, provided healthcare to thousands through Godrej Memorial Hospital since 2005, and trained over 150,000 youth in vocational skills through its Disha program.
