Culture Aangan arranges for tourists to visit village-based tourist destinations where the tourist can stay in a rural homestay, visit local temples a Read morend participate in rural activities. It also arranges for jungle treks, cycling, food tasting and yoga classes for the interested tourists. All these activities are conducted by villagers trained by the organization so that it generates income for these villagers. It conducts arts and culture workshops at villages where the tourists can participate by visiting the artisans and trying their hands in making some of the art work with help from the village artisans. It encourages food tourism by conducting food trails where the tourist can interact with women from traditional families, trying out recipes and also visiting the local village markets for ingredients. It is actively involved in conservation of the endangered olive ridley turtle. With the help of local youth, the organization provides protection to the eggs laid by the turtle and helps the baby turtles safely reach the ocean after birth. It helps camel herders by closely working with an NGO to preserve these communities from extinction and bring tourists in touch with them.
