It is seen that lead acid batteries are a big contributor to chemical pollutions due to their content of lead. Lithium-ion batteries have a better life but do have problems, they are costly and India doesn’t have facilities to tackle these batteries after they are used and dumped. Ziptrax aims to provide a facility to recycle and repurpose these lithium-ion batteries which retain 70% to 80% of their usability even after they are considered dead. It processes these batteries to give them new life which also makes them affordable. It uses advanced technology like artificial intelligence to increase the life and monitor performance of the battery. It reduces the chances of these batteries reaching landfills and rivers contributing to pollution by making them reusable.
