The vision of the organization entails striving for sustainable human and natural resource development and management. The Sarvodaya Youth Organization (SYO) is a secular, grassroots non-governmental and non-profit organization established in 1993. It is registered under the Indian Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 and the Ministry of Home Affairs under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act 1976 (FCRA No. 0010360067). SYO aims to advance sustainable rural, tribal, and urban development while providing opportunities for vulnerable and disadvantaged sections of the community to enhance their socio-economic status. Embracing an integrated approach, participatory planning, demonstrations, exposure visits, empowerment, and capacity building, SYO involves the community in decision-making for project implementation. Operating in 15 mandals across Telangana, India, including Mahabubabad, Jaya Shankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Warangal Urban, and Warangal Rural districts, SYO focuses on agricultural development and sustainable management. Through partnerships with various national and international developmental organizations, SYO has transparently worked towards achieving its goals in Warangal District, Andhra Pradesh. Their programs have uplifted the socio-economic, political, and cultural conditions of individuals and communities through effective community participation, with support from stakeholders.

  • Sustainable Agriculture

    District

    The Sustainable Agriculture Program encompasses various initiatives aimed at promoting environmentally friendly farming practices. This includes a focus on organic farming, emphasizing the cultivation of crops without the use of synthetic pesticides or fertilizers. Additionally, the program promotes community-based sustainable agriculture through non-pesticide management strategies, which involve utilizing natural methods to control pests and diseases. Integrated pesticide management is also emphasized, advocating for the judicious use of pesticides in conjunction with other pest control methods to minimize environmental impact. Through these efforts, the program aims to foster a more sustainable and ecologically sound approach to agriculture while supporting the livelihoods of farmers and ensuring food security for communities.

  • Women Empowerment

    District

    The Women Empowerment Program in Telangana focuses on establishing gender-sensitive structures to promote equality and empowerment among women. Central to this initiative is SAKHI – One Stop Centre, which serves as a comprehensive support system for women facing various forms of violence and discrimination. The program also emphasizes vocational skill development for women and adolescent girls, providing them with opportunities to acquire practical skills for economic independence. Furthermore, it aims to create livelihood opportunities specifically tailored for women-managed families and widows of farmers, recognizing their unique challenges and vulnerabilities. Through these concerted efforts, the program seeks to enhance the socio-economic status and overall well-being of women across Telangana, fostering a more inclusive and equitable society.
