It conducts many events to make the general public aware about these issues and tries to spread awareness. Partnering with various NGO’s active in this field, It conducted workshops in 5 malls in Mumbai to inform the people about autism clearing myths from facts. Hygiene and sanitation are also a part of the organisations efforts wherein children are encouraged to follow hygiene practices, documentaries are shown to them to make them aware and also told to spread the knowledge they have gained to others in their communities. Partnering with the Indian Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Indian Academy of Pediatrics-Childhood Disability Group, It celebrated the world palsy day by conducting an art session where children affected with palsy were given an opportunity to express themselves through painting. It organised a seminar in Mumbai calling together specialists from the area of child disability. The seminar featured eminent speakers sharing their experience in clinical approaches, importance of early screening, different types of investigation tools, intervention and management process. Seminars on handling parental anxiety and identification of learning disorders were also conducted to motivate better parent-child relationships. It encourages children with behavioural problems to indulge in creativity by organising diwali sales on their behalf where Greeting cards, Envelopes, Photo Frame, Wall Hangings, Lamps, etc created by these children are displayed and sold. It has also conducted research focussed on physical disability. Its presentations and at international conferences and publication of papers showcases latest clinical evidence. Some of Its researches are: • Counselling approaches aiming for compliance to interventions for neurodevelopmental disorders, for a developing country clientele. • Identifying developmental delays, by age and risk in young children in India. • Impact on language ability of a first generation english learner in india, by short term remedial intervention. • Effect of a multidisciplinary intervention on clinical outcomes in children with autism spectrum disorder. • A multidisciplinary intervention program for neurodevelopmental disabilities, customized to a developing country clientele.
