Sampurnearth was founded in 2010 by three TISS graduates to break the uni-directional cycle of managing waste which included extraction, production, c Read moreonsumption and finally dumping in landfills which results in pollution in the form of green house gas, contamination of water bodies and a burden on the natural resources of the earth. It provides both products and services related to waste management in the areas of wet, dry and e-waste disposal and reuse. It enables wet waste management by offering manual compost tumblers, facilitating digging of compost pits, OWC machines to produce compost efficiently, helping set-up windrow processes where piles of organic matter are stacked in rows and turned regularly to turn into compost, facilitates setting up of bio-gas plants in various capacities, shredders to process organic or soft waster into bits to be processed further. To help in efforts to manage dry waste It offers waste assessment and valuation services along with green points allocation. The green points can be traded with the organisation in return for recycled stationary like notepads, envelopes, A4 sheets and visiting cards. It partners with e-waste recyclers to process electronic refuse and dispose of it in methods that have been prescribed by Government authorities. The waste collected is valuated and green points are allocated accordingly. Sampurnearth also provides services like waste audits, consultancy, facilities of maintenance of waste recycling units, repairing and taking up contracts on unused waste management units, promote and create awareness on waste segregation and management in schools and public areas on invitation. It offers Its products and services to housing societies, corporates, civic bodies, facilitates execution of waste management as part of corporate social responsibility and extended producer responsibility. It has been decorated with many awards from eminent bodies for Its efforts like the National Entrepreneurship Award, Global winner of global social venture, Bharat chamber of commerce for environmental impact and awareness award, Forbes 30 under 30 Asia Award and Mumbai heroes award.
