Shield Foundation is working to provide care and treatment to senior citizens from underprivileged families who cannot afford costly medical treatment Read mores besides providing training and employment opportunities to poor youth and women. It is operating out of three centres in Matunga, Mumbra and Dharavi in Mumbai. It provides counselling and mental care services to the elders. Women from poor communities are also employed as care-givers and are assigned to senior citizens from upper class families which leads to income and sustenance amongst the women. Partnering with the Tech-Mahindra Foundation, through Its Mumbra center, It provides training to poor youth on skills which can help them become independent and find employment. The training courses range from making furniture, basic welding skills to teaching workplace readiness, basic English communication and computer skills. The students are placed both within the country and abroad based on their competence. Through Its centre in Dharavi, It is providing coaching services to poor women in the areas of nursing and ITES-BPO. The trainings are provided free of cost and continue for a period of 6 months along with 3 months of on-the-job training. After successful completion of courses the students are placed in hospitals leading to their independence and sustenance.

Skill development
The organization offers free training programs for underprivileged men and women aged 18 to 38, empowering them with skills for better opportunities. Programs include:
* Nursing Assistant Training
* ITES-BPO (Information Technology Enabled Services - Business Process Outsourcing)In addition to skill development, it assists trainees with placement opportunities to ensure a pathway to sustainable livelihoods.
The training team comprises two domain-specific trainers and one dedicated soft skills trainer, providing holistic learning and preparing trainees for the professional world.

Senior Citizens
The Resource Centre was established to support senior citizens, offering a range of need-based services tailored to their requirements. Initially, only 250 elderly individuals were assisted annually. Over time, the organization significantly expanded its reach and now provides services to approximately 2,500 senior citizens each year. A core focus of its work remains the consistent provision of physical and mental healthcare to enhance the well-being of the elderly.

Vocational training
The organization conducts a variety of engaging and skill-based activities for students. One such event was a Pot Painting Workshop, designed to enhance the creativity and painting skills. The activity was both enjoyable and educational.
It also conducted a Self-Defense Session led by Mr. Ganesh. The session focused on practical topics, including Alertness, Effective Communication, Tackling Techniques, and Emergency Numbers. These activities aimed to equip students with essential skills and knowledge for their personal growth and safety.
