RUR Greenlife is a socio-environmental organisation working to reduce pollution through providing waste management services, advocating nature friendl Read morey living and developing environment friendly products. It offers waste management services which includes audits, awareness sessions on waste segregation and providing tools to manage waste leading to lesser trash going to the landfills. It conducts eco-education sessions to motivate communities, individuals and school students to go green. Workshops ,hands-on sessions, eco-tours, video and audio, demonstrations are all part of the programme to impart knowledge on waste recycling, growing organic vegetables in a small space and living in harmony with nature at the same time avoiding contributing to pollution. Its products include waste composters which feature aerobic bio-composting available in various sizes to suit an individual household, organisation to communities. The organisation hand-holds and monitors usage of the composters for two cycles post which the using entity is independent to use the simple mechanism. It partners with corporates to design, customise and implement their CSR strategies helping the industrial units to contribute to the society by involving in environment protection activities, also aligning with schedule seven of the CSR policy effective in India. Partnering with Panasonic and Tetrapak India, It implemented projects in responsibly disposing off electronic waste and tetrapak containers educating the staff about green living and recycling. Dry Waste Recycling
Efficient waste segregation at the source is deemed critical in addressing the growing waste crisis, with the potential to enhance recycling rates up to 90% and significantly reduce landfill input. The prevailing linear economy approach of make-use-throw results in the squandering of valuable resources that could otherwise be repurposed, thus prolonging their utility. Through the adoption of proper waste segregation practices, communities can contribute to the establishment of a more circular economy, wherein resources are recycled and reused.
