Centre for Catalyzing Change(C3) is working to change systems, mindsets and behaviours that stop the empowerment of women and girls from achieving the Read moreir full potential. It is active in the states of Jharkhand, Bihar, Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Uttar Pradesh working on multiple projects affecting changes in policy and through tie-ups with associates creating beneficial partnerships to work for women empowerment. Its direction of work includes partnering with Government agencies to further social welfare programmes, the team builds expertise in the available schemes in relation to existing issues and scales up to deliver the programmes to the masses. The programmes are developed in partnerships with Government departments and associates and technology partners and are so designed, that they can be replicated in other places readily and increased in capacity to fit different situations. Training and mentoring are provided to women leaders and panchayat workers to act as citizen journalists who would monitor the planning and efficacy of the programmes being implemented. Community-level action is encouraged in implementing social programmes ensuring local know-how and immediate action. Technology is liberally used to empower the women panchayat leaders, who are trained and coached to use appropriate tools to report the quality of services and implementation status of National Health Mission schemes to the concerned department using IVRS platforms. Its projects include Pahel, Sakshamaa and Do Kadam Barabari ki ore to address gender equality and governance, YouthBol Poll, Tarang and Akanksha to implement girls' education and youth development, promoting maternity care in India and community participation in the delivery of family planning to address reproductive health and rights.

Women and girls in India are discriminated against in the spaces of opportunities and employment and bear the burden of working against gender inequality.

C3 is striving to empower women and girls in India to attain equality, access their rights and due opportunities to make their lives better.

Gender Equity & Governance
StateThis programme strives to empower women’s leadership to take decisions and involve in the governance of their localities. It promotes women's rights and encourages women to speak up and demand better public policies and programmes.
Through collecting evidence and data the programme intends to guide policy-making reforms in regard to gender.

Girls Education & Youth Development
StateProposes to develop leadership skills of adolescents by empowering them with relevant knowledge on health, gender equality, nutrition, hygiene, civic responsibility and skill development.
Partnering with State Governments, It intends to scale up adolescent education programmes and engage with communities through integrated initiatives.

Reproductive Health & Rights
StateThis initiative came into existence to ensure that every woman rich or poor, young or old, rural or urban, living in any state in India has access to her entitlements to reproductive healthcare services.
The Centre aims to address gaps in healthcare through capacity building of service providers, programme implementation and research with women and their communities leading to the promotion of a rights-based approach to reproductive and sexual health with a focus on childbirth and family planning.
