Oorvani foundation is focused on transforming citizens into changemakers.   • Open City Urban Data Portal

    Open City is a public data portal, allowing citizens to access city-related information data sets. The cities covered so far are Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, and Hubli-Dharwad. The data sets are classified across themes like education, finance, governance, health, and infrastructure. Additionally, it allows registered users to contribute and review the public data sets.

  • Citizen Matters Platform

    The platform was founded in 2008 by Subramaniam Vincent and Meera K. Its work is supported by the Oorvani Foundation. Citizen Matters is a platform that facilitates knowledge exchange by providing insightful reports on critical urban issues and offering ideas and solutions for cities. It delves deep into topics that impact the quality of life, such as water, transportation, public safety, air quality, governance, education, environment, and the local economy. Active citizens engaged in local issues can document and publish their experiences as articles using this platform.

    Oorvani's India Together platform facilitates constructive journalism. It offers a space for a collection of articles of public importance and significance.
