The Takshashila Institution is an independent centre for research and education in public policy. It is a non-partisan, non-profit organisation that a Read moredvocates the values of freedom, openness, tolerance, pluralism and responsible citizenship. It seeks to transform India through better public policies, bridging the governance gap by developing better public servants, civil society leaders, professionals and informed citizens. It produces independent policy research in a number of areas of governance, grooms civic leaders through its online education programmes and engages in public discourse through its publications and digital media. These research and commentaries are published in the form of online articles, newsletters, newspaper columns, blogs, books, podcasts and videos.

Portals
Indian Public Policy Review (IPPR): IPPR is a peer-reviewed, bi-monthly, online and open-access journal publication which carries original papers, book reviews, and commentaries across the following topics: Economics, Political Science, Public Finance, International Relations and Security, Political and Defence Strategy, Public Enterprises, and Science and Technology Policy, among others. The objective of the journal is to promote both research and advocacy by providing a publication space for articles in economics, politics, and strategic affairs.

The Takshashila Library
Hosts a collection of 1800+ titles. In line with primary research areas, a large part of its collection are books on Defence & Strategic Studies, History - Indian, World & Military, Economics, Foreign Policy & International Relations, Public Policy and Politics & Society. It also has a collection of Biographies, Fiction, Philosophy, Science and Technology books to provide a diverse reading experience.
It has a fair mix of old and new titles and is regularly updated. Apart from the institutional support offered by the Infosys Foundation, the library has also benefited from books donated by Ramachandra Guha, Amb. Nirupama Menon Rao, Lt. Gen. Prakash Menon, Anand Arni, Hema Hattangady, Dr. Vijay Chandru and others.

Policy School
Equips students with core knowledge and a set of skills in policy evaluation, economic reasoning, effective communication and public persuasion. Takshashila brings together academic experts and policy practitioners from across the world to prepare its students to tackle complex policy challenges. Takshashila’s unique pedagogy allows individuals to study from anywhere while pursuing their current occupations. Its programmes are targeted at dynamic individuals who wish to enter the growing professional sphere of public policy, public affairs, and governance and leadership.
It offers a number of multidisciplinary courses in the following categories: PGP (Postgraduate Programme), GCPP (Graduate Certificate in Public Policy), GCLA (Graduate Certificate in Liberal Arts), B.CLIP (B.PAC’s Civic Leadership Incubator Program), SCC – Special Credit Courses and Executive Programmes.
