Milestones & Track Record

Association for Leprosy Education, Rehabilitation and Treatment (ALERT-India) has 40+ years of leprosy work experience in rural, tribal and slums of Maharashtra. Since 2003, reached out to 15+ million people and directly impacted 4, 00,000+ lives of people affected by leprosy. Specialization in community based disease prevention, control, policy advocacy and health-care for communities affected by Neglected Tropical Diseases(NTDs) / infectious diseases, especially: Leprosy, TB and HIV/AIDS. ALERT’s team consists of 500+ qualified, experienced medical and program personnel reaching out to underserved and building lives. We produce, supply leprosy aids & appliances to 12 states. ALERT is a Partner NGO with: Government of India; Maharashtra and Jharkhand. An ‘Assured Partner’ of Give India and has Validation by GuideStar India. Six National workshops in collaboration with
the government, WHO and other stakeholders: leprosy control; best practices; integration; quality care; inclusion and urban leprosy. Published document series on policy and programmatic aspects.
