Battle for Blindness exists to aid the visually impaired, in recognizing the vital role of vision in one's journey through life. Notably, its founders and volunteers, comprising defence personnel and ex-servicemen, serve in honorary roles. Before its establishment, Battle for Blindness conducted extensive research and engaged with visually impaired individuals to identify their specific needs. This process revealed a significant need for visually impaired-friendly hostel facilities, particularly for students pursuing higher education. To address this, the organisation is dedicated to creating top-tier hostels equipped with modern infrastructure, fostering independence and fulfilment for the visually impaired. With unwavering determination, the team at Battle for Blindness is working to eliminate the notion that sight loss is a barrier, demonstrating that a world full of possibilities is within reach for the blind.
