Masina Hospital is the oldest private healthcare facility in the city of Mumbai. It was established in 1902 by Dr Hormusji Masina an entrepreneur and Read morefamous doctor in the present Administrative and OPD heritage building. Masina Hospital is as a Multi-Specialty Tertiary Care 300 bedded Hospital unit spread over 7.5-acre land serving patients since 1902, located in South Mumbai i.e. Byculla. Our scope of services are Mother and Child, Oncology (Surgical and Medical), Cardiac Sciences, (including Heart transplant), Neuro Sciences, Orthopedics and Rehab, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, IVF Centre, Pediatrics, Renal Sciences, General surgery, Laparoscopic surgeries, Radiology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Dialysis, Specialized Burns unit with a Skin Bank and dedicated Mental health unit with Psychiatric department and psychology dept.

    In a move towards sustainability, Masina Hospital installed a 44.8 kWp solar rooftop plant in 2017, resulting in a substantial reduction of approximately 2800 units per month in electricity consumption, leading to monthly savings exceeding INR 30,000. The electricity generated from these panels now powers the hospital's Main Building, ICU, and Operation Theatres, showcasing both environmental and economic benefits. Masina Hospital partnered with Sterling & Wilson Pvt Ltd. for the installation of this solar project, further solidifying its commitment to renewable energy and eco-friendly practices.

    With the implementation of their Bio-Compost plant, Masina Hospital has effectively managed its waste by segregating it into categories of wet, recyclable dry, and medical waste. The hospital's Waste Management Team, trained by Stree Mukti Sangathana in Composting and Bio-methanation techniques, handles approximately 350 kg of wet waste daily. This initiative underscores Masina Hospital's commitment to efficient waste management practices, promoting environmental sustainability and responsible healthcare operations.
