Pune Kabir Festival is an endeavour anchored in the wisdom shared by Kabir and other saints. It is an attempt to bring the works of saints to the centre of our modern lives.

Through participation, embodied presence and learning, the festival aims to bring us together in listening and celebrating words and wisdom that have lived for centuries.

By blurring the lines between a performer and audience, we envision the creation of a truly collective effort to create a space for dialogue in our city.

Baithak Foundation team curates home concerts, public events, and thematic events that represent Indian Traditional art forms. We are partners with many reputed venues and event organisers in the city of Pune. Every year, Baithak curates 30+ such events.

  • Baithak's Illustrated Books

Baithak is continually working on a series of illustrated books to introduce and present personal histories of inspiring performing artists. It is an attempt to see the performers beyond their art - to explore what brought flavour to their life, what were the times they lived in, the people who were part of their journey and what mattered to them. These books are designed so that people of all ages and levels of exposure to traditional arts can enjoy them.

In 2019, Baithak Foundation published ‘Freddy’ - an illustrated book featuring music and the life of Pt. Firoz Dastur. In 2024, we proudly published ‘Bhimsen’ and 'Pt. Omkarnath Thakur'.
