Teach For Change Trust is a non-profit organisation dedicated to transforming education in India. With a mission to provide quality education to under Read moreprivileged children, it works towards bridging the educational inequity gap in the country. The organisation aims to create a lasting impact by recruiting and training talented young professionals as teachers. It envisions providing high-quality education to all, regardless of family income, in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Its mission is to create a nationwide movement aimed at transforming Government schools. By building a network of dedicated volunteers and implementing innovative approaches, it strives to challenge traditional methods and achieve measurable and impactful changes in the education system. The organisation follows a unique model called the Teach For India Fellowship, which involves recruiting young leaders and professionals to serve as full-time teachers in under-resourced schools for two years. These fellows undergo an intensive training programme to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the classroom. It also focuses on building strong partnerships with schools, communities, and other stakeholders to create a holistic learning environment. It collaborates with local authorities, educators, and parents to drive sustainable change and improve the overall educational ecosystem. Through its efforts, Teach For Change Trust strives to not only improve academic outcomes but also develop critical thinking skills, leadership abilities, and values in the students it serves. It aims to create a generation of empowered individuals who can contribute positively to their communities and drive social change.

TFC Volunteer Programme
The TFC Volunteer Programme addresses the shortage of trained teachers in Government schools by recruiting dedicated individuals from diverse backgrounds. These motivated volunteers undergo a rigorous selection process and receive specialized training in subjects like English, Maths, Science, Social Studies, and Arts. Currently active in four states of South India, the programme aims to expand to new locations across India in the upcoming academic year. The program has received over 7832 volunteer applications, with a selection rate of 6%.

TFC Smart Classroom Initiative
This initiative is designed to address the educational needs of children from low-income communities in Government schools by prioritizing the improvement of foundational literacy and numeracy skills. By implementing innovative teaching methods and resources, the programme aims to enhance the learning outcomes and opportunities for these students, empowering them to thrive academically and beyond.
