Programs

  • Project Ullaasa

Project Ullaasa, an Inter-personal & Artistic Skill Development Initiative, focuses on empowering grassroots students to shape the future of their communities and society at large. By imparting essential skills such as public speaking, debating, and articulation, the project aims to enhance their interpersonal abilities. During the lockdown, YuvaSpark adapted the course to teach students the art of argumentative and critical thinking, which evolved into interactive workshops across Bengaluru. In addition to speaking skills, the initiative also encourages children to explore and engage in art, crafts, and music, providing a holistic approach to their development.

  • Project Vineeta

Project Vineeta, an Academic Mentoring Initiative, aims to offer academic mentorship to underprivileged students. Through weekly classes at orphanages, volunteers provide both curricular and extracurricular lessons, along with mentoring support. The initiative has yielded positive outcomes, with students excelling in their school classes. During the pandemic, the project adapted to online platforms, ensuring continuity in learning and enabling students from distant locations to participate in classes without hindrance. The classes have been well-received by both students and volunteers, and the programme continues to thrive with enthusiasm and dedication.

  • Project Q

Project Q, one of YuvaSpark's initiatives, aimed to provide relief and support to stranded migrant labourers during the COVID-19 lockdown and re-establish connections between school teachers and students in partnered orphanages. The project involved several impactful programmes, including food distribution, distributing masks and sanitisers, and providing digital education tools like tablets and laptops to ensure uninterrupted learning for underprivileged students. Additionally, Project Q 2.0, initiated during the second wave of the pandemic, focused on supporting healthcare in rural areas. It procured and deployed various medical equipment, including oxygen concentrators, masks, PPE kits, and more, across multiple districts and states, benefiting government hospitals, Primary Health Centres, Isolation Centres, and a COVID Care Centre.

  • Smart Anganwadi Programme

YuvaSpark's Smart Anganwadi Project implements a 48-module, Kannada-language curriculum with teacher training sessions and assessments for children. The initiative aims to leverage the crucial period of early childhood development to lay a strong foundation for future education and learning. Recognizing the significance of quality pre-primary education in a child's educational journey, the programme focuses on improving learning outcomes in rural areas by utilizing interactive, custom-designed digital modules aligned with the Chili Pili curriculum. The introduction of interactive smart classrooms enhances the learning experience for children, while comprehensive teacher training ensures effective utilization of these digital tools. The ultimate goal is to catalyze pedagogical innovation at Anganwadi Centres in rural Karnataka, promoting value-based education, and increasing enrollment rates, foundational literacy, and numeracy skills.

  • Digital Anganwadi Programme

Utilizing a cloud-based technology platform and cutting-edge data engineering, the Digital Anganwadi project by YuvaSpark aims to catalyze pedagogical innovation at Early Childhood Education Centres in rural India. Empowering Anganwadi teachers, the initiative provides access to custom-curated interactive vernacular language academic content, focusing on foundational numeracy, foundational literacy, and value-based education. Through extensive curriculum research and partnerships with the Women and Child Development department, the project iteratively develops its programme, analyzing data points to improve learning outcomes. Engaging multiple volunteers across India, the initiative compiles digital learning tools in various languages, contributing to enhanced education for children aged 3 to 6 in Anganwadi centres.
