It aims to break the cycle of poverty for these individuals and their families. The Foundation assists in closing the 'job-readiness gap' and simplifies the job search process by utilizing online platforms and digital tools. Its primary goal is to equip graduates from rural areas, especially those from marginalized communities, with the necessary skills and resources to kickstart meaningful careers. The organisation actively supports these individuals in becoming job-ready and facilitates their exploration of employment opportunities using online platforms and digital technologies.
Issue
The India Skills Report* 2023 shows a staggering 50% of eligible youth are unemployable and another 15% of them are underemployed, with hardly any change in the hiring intent over the last two years. The report also says If India’s demographic dividend is productively leveraged, growth prospects will brighten, helping it to leapfrog its GDP from the current $3trillion+ to double by 2030. The environment where rural students are born and brought up hampers their ability to stay confident among well-provided competitors and face challenging job requirements or general hardships in life. There is a lack of guidance, mentoring, and systematic training to make the students ready to plunge into a work environment.
Action
The unique design of the program bridges the gap between academic training and industry requirement, & also facilitates the holistic development of skills and attitudes in students. The goal of the curriculum is to build confidence in students such that they have requisite knowledge, skills and mindset to start a career in the corporate sector. The program engages rural students in a blended model for 12 Weeks which includes 10 weeks of training and one month of placement activity in Bangalore.
