Our goal is to rethink volunteerism by motivating, empowering, and involving youth in addressing the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN. We are building a creative, sustainable, and welcoming environment where young people can bring their ideas to life and address local social concerns through youth-led projects that have an influence on the community as well as the wider world. To help young people understand their own goals, we provide them with capacity development training and individualised mentoring. We also give them access to networks, collaborations, resources, tools, fundraising support, and special opportunities to make significant contributions to the community. We created The Social Captains, a network of young people who can be the change and changemakers in the community, to involve youngsters. We established the Institute of Young Changemakers as a forum to mentor young people in putting their ideas into action, to empower them. We started The Volunteer Awards, an honorary national volunteering awards programme, to inspire young people and honour their remarkable achievements in the cause of volunteerism.
