Its vision is rooted in the belief that sustainable business growth can only be achieved through a co-operative relationship with society. By leveraging the art and science of development and forging strong partnerships, it strives to create an equitable world where everyone has access to quality healthcare, education, and livelihood opportunities. The Foundation works closely with trustworthy institutions, NGOs, Government bodies, and field experts to execute impactful social initiatives. It focuses on long-term relationships with stakeholders and actively engage communities to ensure their needs are addressed effectively. During the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Foundation stood by the most underserved communities, reaching out to over 1 million people across India. Working together with the Government of India, local administration, healthcare workers, and NGOs, it provided essential support, including healthcare services, relief materials, and educational continuity for children in rural areas. Driven by its purpose of 'Caring for Life', Cipla Foundation remains dedicated to achieving positive societal change. Its work aligns with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, and thus continuously strives to address both immediate challenges and long-term goals.

Impact
Cipla has made the following impacts through its diverse programmes: In the field of health, it has attended to over 16,500 patients in 14 cities, working with 23 partners and cooperating with 13 home care teams and 15 in-patient department teams, it has also conducted training for more than 3,600 healthcare professionals, focusing on palliative care and management, in education, Cipla has helped over 42,000 students and distributed 4,300 tablets to students from disadvantaged communities also providing training to 1,200 Anganwadi workers and 47 Mukhiya Sevikas, its skilling initiatives have created revenue of over ₹180+ lacs for women from self-help groups, with ₹35 lacs in returns earned, in disaster response, it has distributed 36,000 cooked meal boxes to COVID-19 workers in hospitals and provided hygiene and grocery kits to over 5,000 upset families.

Health Programmes
Cipla Foundation's healthcare initiatives focus on palliative care, respiratory health, and other essential medical interventions in India and South Africa. The Foundation’s approach extends to vulnerable groups such as children, women, the elderly, and individuals with disabilities. By giving importance to access to palliative care, it acknowledges the multidimensional needs of patients and their families. Cipla Foundation actively collaborates with partners and healthcare professionals, expanding its services and outreach to provide holistic care. Additionally, it establishes pulmonary rehabilitation centres, contributes to COVID-19 relief efforts, offers mobile healthcare services, supports children with rare illnesses, and trains healthcare providers to combat hepatitis.

Education Programmes
Cipla supports students through infrastructure development, scholarships, and empowers teachers with training and capacity building. Its D-LEAD initiative equips students in various regions with digital tablets containing pre-loaded curriculum, ensuring continuous learning during the pandemic. Additionally, Cipla provides educational scholarships to vulnerable children, including those impacted by the pandemic or at risk of exploitation. It also encourages higher education ambitions by facilitating interactions between students from the North-eastern states and scientists. In collaboration with the Integrated Child Development Scheme, Cipla supports the training and skills enhancement of Anganwadi workers to cater to the needs of differently-abled children in Goa through the Gyandeep programme.

Skilling Programmes
DistrictCipla supports skilling initiatives for youth, differently-abled individuals, and low-income communities. Through SEDI, it offers short-term courses with 450+ students completing them and securing employment. A family assistance program in Jaipur, Hyderabad, and Lucknow aids over 300 families in setting up small-scale businesses, providing income and fulfilling basic needs. Over 400 youth receive training and employment. The SAANS Mask Project, in collaboration with CSIR-IICT, creates affordable face masks, helping communities in multiple regions.

Disaster Response Programmes
StateCipla actively engages in disaster response efforts, providing immediate relief to communities affected by natural calamities. During the financial year 2021-22, it extended support to over 2,800 families across Maharashtra (Raigad, Chiplun, Mumbai), Odisha (Kendrapada), Kerala (Kottayam), and Tamil Nadu (Chennai). Its assistance included the distribution of essential hygiene kits, face masks, dry rations, and shelter items. These initiatives aimed to relieve the hardships faced by communities already impacted by the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
