The institution also provides an e-learning portal catering to different specialities, including ophthalmology, optometry, and ophthalmic nursing. Structured courses cover a range of subjects, supplemented with practical information, visual aids, and interactive discussions, allowing participants to enhance their skills and stay updated with the latest advancements.

Patient Service at Sankara Netralaya
Sankara Nethralaya offers comprehensive patient services, including outpatient and inpatient care, to ensure excellent treatment for all individuals. The outpatient services operate on all days, providing diagnosis and treatment for various eye conditions through specialized departments and sub-specialities. In cases requiring special procedures or surgeries, patients are counselled and informed about the available facilities. The hospital has dedicated personnel, state-of-the-art facilities, and seven fully equipped operation theatres for inpatient services. With 71 beds, including deluxe rooms, A/C rooms, and general wards, patients receive round-the-clock nursing care from trained ophthalmic nursing assistants. The Surgery Scheduling Center assists patients in setting up appointments for surgical procedures, enhancing the overall patient experience.

The contact lens clinic ensures optimal lens fitting through scientific testing and personalized care, catering to various needs such as speciality lenses for specific conditions. Additionally, X-ray services are available at the main campus, further facilitating diagnostic procedures.

General Services at Sankara Netralaya
Sankara Nethralaya offers a range of general services to enhance the overall experience of patients and their attendants. The hygienic canteen provides healthy South Indian dishes with a touch of North Indian cuisine, along with fresh fruit juices, accommodating around 70 people. The coffee shop, managed by SWAN (Sankara Nethralaya Women's Auxiliary), serves steaming hot South Indian filter coffee, tea, cool drinks, and snacks, providing a refreshing break for visitors. A utility shop within the hospital premises stocks essential items for day-to-day activities and also facilitates the distribution of free glasses to underprivileged patients. SWAN volunteers extend their support to patients, assisting them and ensuring their comfort throughout their visit. Additionally, regular transport facilities are available to facilitate travel between different campuses, coordinated by the Travel Department, with boarding points conveniently located and timings displayed for patient convenience.
