It aims to raise their income levels and improve their working conditions. It also focuses on building respect and recognition for the work of informal waste pickers and creating a support system. The organisation works to improve access to education and Government schemes, for members of the community. It provides alternative livelihood options through vocational training and financial literacy programmes. It ensures access to water and sanitation facilities for waste-pickers homes. The organisation is also involved in supporting start-ups that work towards innovating waste solutions.

Saamuhika Shakti's impactful work has resulted in training 7,293 waste pickers and their family members on life skills and vocational skills, reaching 5.1 million residents in Bengaluru through the "Invaluables" campaign, forming collectives for 1,274 waste pickers and their family members, providing clean drinking water and sanitation facilities to 3,974 people from waste picking communities, assisting in 4,150 successful social security applications, and enabling 9,513 children from waste picker communities to access quality basic education.
