  • Gift A Scholarship For The Higher Education Of A Girl

The Samiti believes in the transformative power of education for women and society. It provides scholarships to economically disadvantaged girls to support their education. In the academic year 2021-22, it received over 200 applications and granted scholarships to 197 students, the highest number so far. Due to the pandemic, the scholarship distribution was delayed, but the committee carefully screened applications and conducted interviews. A total of Rupees 28,06,000 was distributed to support students pursuing professional courses, particularly engineering. It is proud to contribute to the student's journey toward financial independence and a better India, emphasizing that it is the love and dedication behind giving that truly matters.

  • Gift a Scholarship for the Higher Education of a Girl

Firmly believing that education has the power to change a woman’s life and thereby lead to an overall improvement in society, we at the Samiti decided to champion the future generation of women through education by granting scholarships to deserving meritorious girl students from the economically disadvantaged sections of Society through an annual scholarship program. The academic year 2021-22 saw a large number students responding to our advertisements published in both the English and Kannada newspapers inviting applications from deserving students for financial assistance. We received over 200 applications. This time due to the 2nd wave of Covid, many exams were either postponed or cancelled. This led to a delay in the announcement of results. As such the entire process of scholarship distribution was delayed. They met to understand the amount available for disbursement as well as the amount to be disbursed to students belonging to the different streams of education. The Committee met several times to screen the applications received. This was followed by interviews. This year a total of 197 students were granted scholarships, the highest ever so far. A sum of Rs. 28,06,000.00 was distributed by way of scholarships. A noticeable trend observed by us this year was the desire and willingness of students to move away from the usual college degrees and pursue professional courses mainly engineering which would enable them to technically qualify for good jobs and become financially independent. We would like to express gratitude to our donors who have partnered with us in making this program a success. Our beneficiaries are able to grow closer to their career goals, achieve their ambitions and fulfil their dreams with the help of your support. We at the Samiti are happy to have made a meaningful contribution in their march towards financial independence and thereby to a better India. As we all know it is not how much we give but how much love we put into the giving is what matters.

Theory of Change

Firmly believing that education has the power to change a woman's life and thereby lead to an overall
improvement in Society we at the Samiti decided to champion the future generation of women through
education by granting scholarships to deserving meritorious girl students from the economically
disadvantaged sections of Society through an annual scholarship program.
We have a Scholarship committee constituted to facilitate the award of scholarships. This committee
scrutinizes the applications in detail. Priority consideration is given to scholastic high achievers exhibiting
the greatest levels of financial need. The criteria is marks achieved in Board/University exams, family
background, financial status and details of the educational institution that they seek admission into or are
already admitted to Latest fee receipts and marks card are examined.
After the completion of screening of applications received, interviews are conducted. Applicants along
with the parents appear for interview with the scholarship committee. Depending on the availability of
funds a base amount is fixed for final years school students, PUC students, Degree, Diploma,
Engineering, and Medical students. The base amount increases with the level of the class and is
comparatively high for engineering and medical courses. Home visits are also conducted by the
scholarship committee to check the veracity of their claims. Besides fresh applicants, application from
students who have received scholarship in the previous years and are regarded as continuation students,
are also taken into consideration and appropriate financial aid is duly provided to them too.
Due to us continuing our scholarship aid to the continuation students we are extremely happy to note that
these students have shown a great improvement in their academic performance and also seem to display a
considerable amount of self confidence.
