Established in 2020, the IMPRI Generation Alpha Data Centre South Asia is a dynamic hub for comprehensive data solutions, analytics, and resources. Focused on Gen Alpha (born 2010-2024), navigating a data-centric world, the centre collates real-time data for informed decision-making. It serves as a repository for integrated databases, offering cost-effective data solutions, and functions as a vital forum for discussing perspectives on pressing data-related issues in India and South Asia, emphasizing both local and global relevance.

The Centre for Work and Welfare at IMPRI focuses on pioneering research in crucial aspects of human welfare: health and safety, education, work, livelihoods, wellbeing, equity, and diversity. By exploring 21st-century solutions, the centre aims to bridge the gap between research, practice, and policy, addressing the evolving nature of work. Its core objective is to promote economic justice through evidence-based policy research, fostering discussions on incomes, wages, and economic opportunities. Through diverse research activities and engagements, the centre advocates for higher-wage jobs, improved career options, and the evaluation of public policies for enhanced economic growth.

The IMPRI Centre for Habitat, Urban and Regional Studies (CHURS) focuses on providing periodic research insights into the sustainable development of habitat, human settlements, built environment, housing, and urban infrastructure. Combining knowledge of emerging technologies and social engineering, CHURS addresses ongoing schemes while emphasizing medium and long-term urban development issues. Through impactful contributions and collaborations, it serves as a vital intellectual entity addressing Housing and Urban Policy Affairs, contributing to the creation of a 21st-century India. CHURS researches urbanization trends, affordability of housing for the poor, and socio-economic characteristics of migrants, and collaborates with policymakers and relevant stakeholders to inform and update urban vision.

The Gender Impact Studies Center (GISC) at IMPRI was established to showcase the tangible effects of unbiased, gender-equitable research, steering clear of patriarchal biases. It strives to deliver evidence-based and action-oriented research, urging research funders, Governments, businesses, civil society, and multilateral organisations to proactively address gender-related issues. Through collaborations and diverse engagements, GISC advocates for amplifying voices against gender biases, undertaking thorough analyses of challenges in rural and urban contexts, and aiming for resource allocation in transdisciplinary research for gender equity, equality, and justice. Additionally, it seeks to enhance policy design, planning, and implementation for transformative legislation to ensure gender sensitivity and justice.
