The Foundation partners with Government and other developmental agencies to drive holistic community initiatives to help address some of the persistent social challenges in the realms of Health & Nutrition, Water & Sanitation, Education, Skill Development, Sustainable Livelihood & Women Empowerment, Environment & Agriculture, Sports, Art & Culture, Rural Infrastructure and Social Inclusion

Programs

  • Project Vatsalya

    This project is designed to reduce the Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) and Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) by educating and sensitising the local population regarding the services related to Ante Natal Care (ANC) and Post Natal Care (PNC). It aims to raise awareness about the importance of good health practices for newborns and new mothers. The focus areas of this program are - family planning, use of contraceptives for achieving population stabilization, increasing institutional delivery, safe motherhood, early childcare intervention, combating malnutrition, adolescent health care and sanitation awareness. More than 2,60,000 women and children have benefited from this initiative.

  • Sports

    The foundation contributes to the development of local talent and creates opportunities for them to showcase their skills.
    Upgrading the fitness and skill sets of local youths is crucial for their overall development as athletes. By providing appropriate nutrition and coaching, the foundation ensures that the athletes have the necessary support to enhance their performance. This comprehensive approach can greatly contribute to their success at various levels, from district to national and even international competitions.

  • Truckers eye care program

    This program is specifically designed for the truck drivers. It focuses on providing primary eye health services. Partners with Sightsaver India to create the National Truckers Eye Care programme. This aims to provide accessible and sustainable eye health and reduce eye strain. Over 1864 truckers have received benefits of this project till date.

  • Jindal lighthouse skill development project

    The project is aimed at providing technical skills, life skills, job competencies, and continuous mentoring to trainees from urban and semi-urban areas. By offering a comprehensive set of skills, the project aims to empower and educate young boys and girls in a participative, inclusive, and expressive manner.
    The inclusion of technical skills ensures that the trainees gain practical knowledge and expertise in specific fields, enhancing their employability and opening up opportunities for them in various industries. This focus on vocational training can equip them with the necessary skills to succeed in the job market.

  • Dairy farming and apiculture

    Community Dairy: More than 326 farmers participate in the foundation’s cattle rearing and dairy activities. The dairy farmers collect milk at designated Milk Collection Centres set up at village level. Here the quality of the milk quality is tested and then finally supplied to the market.

    Apiculture: Project on Apiculture (beekeeping) initiated for the farmers at Angul, Odisha. More than 50 farmers are engaged and have developed more than 25 honeybee colonies.

  • Mission zero hunger

    Fulfills food needs (two meals a day comprising lunch and dinner) of migrant labourers, children and adults of the underprivileged section of the society in three states and New Delhi.
    Under this programme, both hot cooked food and dry rations were provided to poor and needy stranded at different sites and other vulnerable communities on regular basis and for those who were deprived of getting daily meals because of the restrictions in economic activities and movement for Nation-wide lockdown.

  • Project Kishori Express

    This anemia control programme for adolescent girls is implemented across 537 villages of Banarpal & Angul blocks in Angul district of Odisha. The programme was rolled in April 2011 in Chendipada block and replicated at Banarpal block of Angul in 2012 in Odisha.
