This is a Chandigarh based NGO of over 65 dynamic volunteers from various fields & backgrounds, working consistently for the welfare of the society. I Read moret focuses on health & education, empowering women, environmental concerns. Works with a vision to connect the like-minded and provide a platform to serve together. For the betterment of the society, it organises health camps. eye donation awareness sessions, conducts women empowerment workshops and clothes collection and distribution drives. Arranges hospital visits and educational camps to enable people from underserved communities access good healthcare and education.

Impact
Over 300 children from impoverished background have been introduced to the basic need of education & effectively admitted to schools under various initiatives.

Programs

Slums
Conducts door-to-door counselling at the slums regarding employment, women rights, health & empowerment, children education (particularly girl education), and drug de-addiction.

DDL (Donate drop of love)
Helps individuals who need care such as counselling, legal advice, and so on. Regularly conducts blood & platelet donations camps.

Monthly events
Conducts a social event every month in Chandigarh and surrounding areas. These events may focus on children, elderly, women, environment, education, health and hygiene, and so on.

Project Yakeen
The organisation has adopted the Govt. Elementary School, Village Singhpura, Zirakpur, Punjab. The school lacked basic infrastrure like clean classrooms, safe drinking water, clean toilets, and access to good education. Tammana supported the school by building and maintaining infrastructure, and organise activities to get the children interested in school education. It regularly organizes education, health and environment sensitization drives, donates stationery kits, school bags, winter clothes, toys, and utensils for mid-day meal. It has installed a water pump to ensure that clean drinking water is available at all times.

Sunday of Service
Organises SOS- Sunday of Service to encourage volunteers to conduct sessions such as prayer/meditation camps, cleanliness drives, remedial learning programs, support to the elderly, and so on.
Milestones & Track Record
TAMMANA has completed over 160 events/cases in 16+ years, grown to a team of 50+ volunteers, and received recognition from local authorities for its humanitarian services.
