MICE Labs
Switch India, in collaboration with M.I.C.E.- Labs & Sir J.J. Group of Hospitals, looks for innovative minds in India to join a training program and become techno-medico experts. The program aims to integrate technology and medicine to improve patient care. Medical Innovation Creativity & Entrepreneurship (MICE) Lab is a space that has been specifically designed and equipped with tools to bring together medical students, doctors, and engineers. The purpose of this space is to encourage collaboration and innovation among these professionals, enabling them to tinker with technology and develop solutions to address current challenges in medical treatment and diagnosis. This will help doctors to incorporate cutting-edge technologies for improved patient care and medical practices.
-
Health awareness
Switch India conducts awareness camps in areas related to knee pain and management, malnourishment in children and elderly, importance of breastfeeding, mental health, first aid and emergency training, PCOD awareness, and physiotherapy.
-
Rural health camps
Switch India's main focus is to provide healthcare to rural and tribal areas near Mumbai. They conduct health check-ups, first aid training, and health education camps in these regions. Initially, they offered basic first aid knowledge and donated first aid kits but realized they needed to empower patients through health education. They believe in the importance of primary health care and aim to inculcate healthy living and disease prevention knowledge effectively. They have adopted a new model of follow-up care, especially for pediatric patients, using phone calls and consultations with doctors. Switch India seeks to bridge the healthcare gap in rural areas through technology and community involvement, emphasizing continuity of care and innovation in healthcare delivery.
-
Urban health camps
While much attention is given to healthcare in rural areas, urban areas, too, face challenges of poverty and diseases associated with urbanization. To address this, Switch India is now helping the urban population, with a specific focus on the urban poor.
The primary target of this program is the slum in urban areas. The health camps provide medical check-ups and treatments and also serve as educational platforms to emphasize the importance of healthy living. Basic hygiene practices, hand hygiene, personal hygiene, deworming, the significance of regular exercise, and the benefits of a healthy diet are some of the key focus areas in their training.
Switch India has collaborated with Robinhood Army to conduct health camps in Mumbai, Gujarat, and Chennai. Camps are conducted for children, elderly, and adolescents.
